TERMS & CONDITIONS

Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the billing, payment, and related obligations between Backyard Shelter and the customer (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”). By accessing our website, purchasing our products, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Pricing and Payment
All prices for products and services are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without prior notice. Prices do not include applicable taxes, duties, or other charges unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Payment for one-time purchases is due at the time of purchase. For subscription-based services, payment is due on the first day of each billing cycle. We accept multiple payment methods, including major credit and debit cards, electronic funds transfer (EFT/ACH), PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shopify-supported payment options.
Invoicing and Billing Information
Invoices are delivered electronically to the email address provided by the Customer. It is your responsibility to ensure that all billing and contact information is accurate and kept up to date.
Late Payments and Suspension of Services
If payment is not received by the applicable due date, we reserve the right to charge late payment interest at a rate of 1.5% per month, or the maximum rate permitted by law, on any outstanding balance. If payment remains unpaid for more than ten days after the due date, we may suspend or terminate services. Services will be reinstated once all outstanding balances, including any applicable late fees, have been paid in full.
Disputed Charges
If you believe a billing error has occurred, you must notify us in writing within fifteen days of the invoice date. Disputes should be submitted to info@backyardshelter.com and must include the invoice number and a description of the issue. We will investigate all disputes promptly and work toward a fair resolution.
Refunds and Credits
Refunds or account credits are issued in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within fourteen days of approval.
Taxes
You are responsible for all applicable taxes, including but not limited to sales tax, value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), or similar governmental charges. If you are tax-exempt, you must provide a valid tax exemption certificate at the time of purchase.
Billing Errors
If a billing error is discovered, we will correct it promptly. Any overcharges will be refunded or credited accordingly. If an undercharge occurs, we reserve the right to invoice you for the outstanding amount.
Subscriptions and Recurring Payments
Subscription services automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled in accordance with our cancellation policy. We may provide reminder notifications prior to renewal, but customers remain responsible for managing their subscriptions.
Cancellation
Subscriptions may be canceled by providing written notice at least thirty days prior to the end of the current billing cycle. Upon cancellation, access to services will continue through the end of the paid billing period.
Payment Security
All payment information is processed securely in accordance with industry standards. Payments are handled through Shopify and approved third-party payment processors. We do not store credit card information on our servers. Transactions are protected using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes become effective immediately upon posting the updated Terms on our website. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Backyard Shelter shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to these Terms. Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid by you for services during the six months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal action arising from these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Michigan.

Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Backyard Shelter regarding billing and payment matters and supersede all prior agreements. By purchasing our products or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms
