FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about buying, shipping, or assembling a premium DIY structure? We’ve answered the most common ones below.
Buying & Ordering
Can I really buy these kits directly as a homeowner?
Yes. Every product we carry is available for direct purchase and delivered straight to your home. Many manufacturers don’t make this clear on their websites, but we partner with them to ensure homeowners can order DIY-friendly kits without going through a contractor or dealer.
Do I need a contractor to assemble the kit?
No. Every pergola, gazebo, pavilion, shed, and carport we sell is engineered for confident DIY assembly. Components are pre-cut or pre-engineered, and instructions are detailed enough for capable homeowners. Hiring a contractor is optional, not required.
How long does it take to receive my order?
Most kits ship within 3–7 business days, depending on the brand and warehouse location. Freight delivery to your home typically takes an additional 3–10 days depending on your region.
How will my kit be delivered?
All large structures ship via freight truck and arrive in secure crates or pallets. The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery window. Delivery is typically curbside or driveway, depending on your layout.
What if something arrives damaged or missing?
We handle this for you. If any part is damaged or missing, simply send us photos and a brief description and we will coordinate with the manufacturer to send replacements as quickly as possible. Your order is protected from checkout to final assembly.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards and secure payment providers such as Shop Pay and PayPal. All transactions are encrypted and processed through trusted gateways.
Assembly & DIY Confidence
How difficult is assembly?
Most projects take 1–2 people and a weekend to complete. If you can assemble furniture, use a drill, and follow instructions, you can build these kits. The finished structures look professionally installed because they’re engineered to fit together precisely.
What tools will I need?
Most kits require only basic tools such as:
- Drill/driver
- Level
- Ladder
- Tape measure
- Socket set
- Rubber mallet (for some brands)
Any special tools required are listed on each product page.
Do the kits come with instructions?
Yes. Every kit includes a detailed step-by-step manual. Many brands also offer video walkthroughs and telephone or email support if questions come up during assembly.
Product Details
What materials are these made from?
We carry only premium materials, such as:
- Cedar or redwood for gazebos, pavilions, and sheds
- Heavy-gauge aluminum for pergolas and carports
- Vinyl/PVC with aluminum reinforcement for low-maintenance pergolas
We do not sell thin-metal budget kits or unbranded imports.
Are these structures engineered for snow and wind?
Yes. Each brand provides engineering guidelines for snow load and wind ratings. Many kits can be anchored to concrete, pavers, or footings for enhanced stability. Please review the specifications on each product page and consult your local building codes if needed.
Can these structures be used near a pool or hot tub?
Absolutely. Aluminum and cedar kits are excellent poolside options, and many vinyl pergolas are maintenance-free and ideal for humid environments. Check the product descriptions for any special notes regarding pool or spa use.
Shipping, Warranty & Returns
Is shipping really free?
Yes. Freight delivery to your home in the contiguous United States is included in the price unless noted otherwise for extremely remote locations. If there are any surcharges, we’ll always tell you upfront.
Do these products come with a warranty?
Yes. Every brand we carry includes a manufacturer’s warranty, typically ranging from 5 to 20 years depending on the materials and product line. Warranty details are shown on each product page, and we’re happy to answer questions before you buy.
What is your return policy?
Because these are large, custom-packed freight items, returns are limited and vary by manufacturer. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, we work directly with our suppliers to make it right. If you have questions about returns for a specific product, please contact us before ordering.
